Living with Luna

Moon Cycles.

There are 13 cycles in a year. And, each moon lasts 2 1/2 days.

Just as the tides are affected by the moon. It is only natural, knowing that we are made up of approximately 60% water- we too are indeed affected by the moon cycles as well.

During the New moon, think about all that you want with a home, job, partner… dream, rebirth to old and new ideas. * New moon rituals can be done here. Optimum time for setting an intention, first dates, creating a sacred space, creating your own rituals. Anything that you want to begin.

Waxing Crescent- research, gather info, look inward at things that matter the most. Collecting information.

First quarter- do some action – go out and work on getting those things. Do an action that gets you pumped!

Waxing Gibbous moon- revise if needed. Take out things that aren’t working… weed through the things that aren’t keeping you on your path.

Full moon- receive and remove. It’s a very active moon. Anxiety & tension can also set in. Be on alert- this isn’t a good time for confrontation. As the energy is high, open and free. Things do come into fruition during the full moon. Clean your closets. Clean house. Open curtains and let the moon help you! When you get rid of things that don’t serve you, you allow space for the things you want most. This is a fertile time if you’re wanting to get pregnant. Metaphorically speaking too. * there are full moon rituals that can be done with success. Make moon water, cleans crystals…

Waning Gibbous Moon- give thanks and share your rewards. Do kind gestures for others.

Last quarter moon – cleanse yourself- close and complete(or let go of things you don’t want to finish). Let go of guilt and anxiety about things that you tell yourself you should do or should have done. Let the self banter go.

Waning Crescent moon/Balsamic Moon phase. Self care/ surrender to things you have no control over -let go. Sleep in a bit longer. (We are in this phase today- June 5, 2021).

Rest up during the dark moon. Reflect, allow yourself to cry during a sappy movie. Release the sadness. (New moon is coming- know that through the darkness- there is light coming.)

Hope this gets you in a good rhythm and explains why our bodies and minds naturally do what they do.

Peace, Love & Light- Dawn 🌞

Hello.

Last year was a year we all thought was terrible. However, with covid, the election, the turmoil, & the solitude, I believe that many of us did a lot of soul searching. I did manage to accomplished many things. I finished my RYT200 Yoga teacher certificate, I faced hard times, had a few family things happen(and overcame them), and really looked inside of myself. I’m closer with God. Happier than I have been in a long time and am continually working on my souls growth.

My plan is to blog a bit more this year. And, share other things that I’ve found. Life is a process. No one way is the “right” way. We must continually pay attention to those things that “spark” our inner interests. Life is a gift.

Light & Love, Dawn

Spring…

Welcome!

These are trying times for all. I thought that it might be a good thing to spread love, peace, and some sort of comfort. After many years of researching and searching for ways to balance myself, I figured now is a good time to share the information.

No one expected a pandemic of this scale to make us jump track. Hang in there tho. Things will get better. It is essential to find something good in every day: a kindness, compassion and/or little things to do for ourselves to keep our heads up. We are all an important part of the whole! And yes! We are resilient. Its only a decision we make.

Through this blog, The Holistic Road, I will offer ideas and insight: tools for inner peace ,balance, relaxation, stress and fear relief all while promoting kindness to yourself and others. Open your mind to the incredible abilities that YOU all have!

Utilizing a holistic approach, we will look at the mental, the physical, social, and environmental means to stabilize our inner self and get to know our genuine being better. Recognizing that these concepts covered are tools that we can use individually in hopes of enhancing our inner self. These are not my creations in any way. However, techniques that have helped me.

The methods that I will be discussing are not mine and I won’t be offended if they don’t resonate with you. Many people are called to them when they need them. So my hope is when and if you need them, they will be here for you as stepping stones or inspiration for your own journey.

“Your assumptions are your windows on the World. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.” – Isaac Asimov

Stay well.

Sending love,
